County Grants Scheme – Village Halls

The Community Council of Devon (CCD) offers £55K bi-annually to village halls across Devon. This money is provided by Devon County Council and is part of scheme matched in thirds: one-third is matched by the District Council in which the Village Hall is situated, and one-third is matched by the Village Hall Committee through local fundraising.

For most Districts, the one-third match is automatic and is a maximum of a £15K award per successful applicant. However, overall annual budgets at the Districts will vary.

Deadlines for the District Councils also vary, so applicants are advised to approach their District Council separately to CCD. Grant awards from CCD are between £500 and £15,000, for projects costing no more than £500,000. The award from CCD cannot exceed the award from the District Council.
