Village Green
Village Green was first published in 1980. It is CCD’s quarterly newsletter and is distributed to over 3000 people and organisations, mainly in Devon.
All Parish Councils, district and county councillors and most village halls receive a copy, as do many other community groups, statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and individuals.
The newsletter contains information on a variety of topics of interest to people living in rural Devon. In every issue, there are pages directly aimed at parish councils, village hall committees, as well as pages on training and environmental issues. Each issue also features a specific subject such as rural transport, social enterprise or affordable housing.
There is also information on possible sources of funding for community groups and voluntary organisations, as well as updates on the work of the Community Council and examples of good practice in community development and the voluntary sector.
A free copy of the newsletter can be obtained from the Community Council of Devon offices. Regular copies are only available to members, but recent copies are posted in pdf format on this website approximately 2 to 3 months after publication.
