Devon Playing Field Association Funding

Peter Harding and Rory Cunningham (Community Council of Devon) visit the new Basketball Court in Christow, Devon. Christow Play Park Group secured a grant from Devon Playing Fields Association’s sport/play grant facility – this grant helped to establish these new facilities.
Sport and Play small grants are available from bi-annual competitive bidding rounds. The deadline for applications is 31st December and 30th July each year. £6,000 per year is available at a maximum grant size of £500 per single-use outdoor facility and £1000 per multi-use outdoor facility.
The grant must not exceed a third of the overall project cost. Only projects costing not more than £10,000 will be considered. You can download an application pack on our Funding pages of this website by clicking on [ application ] and [ guidance ] .
It is expected that a third or more of the costs will have been raised prior to application and will include a contribution from the Parish Council. Small grants can be secured through various trusts [ link to Factsheet No. 28 Funding Sources DPFA funding sheet ] and via community fundraising.
