Devon Oil Collective to place first order for members

Devon Oil Collective to place first order for members

Following a successful launch and a high level of interest, our Devon Oil Collective will place its first oil order next Thursday 1st March.

The purpose of an Oil Collective is to reduce the cost of oil to members of the scheme. Devon Oil Collective has been set up to help provide cheaper oil to households and businesses across Devon which, due to the rural nature of the county, can be very reliant on oil. Pollution and traffic can also be reduced by signing up to this scheme through co-ordination of oil deliveries. To read more about this scheme and how to become a member please visit our Oil pages.

We are also celebrating our first oil co-ordinator, Julie Moir from Loxhore. As secretary to her Village Hall Committee, and writer of Loxhore’s local newspaper Julie is well placed to be a co-ordinator for this scheme. She has been able to spread the word within her community about the scheme and will collate their orders prior to placing them with us. Loxhore is in a remote location and as such their community has been looking into renewable alternatives as well as oil schemes such as the Devon Oil Collective that will reduce their costs.

There is still time to join up and place an order before next Thursday. What do you have to loose?  Contact our Oil Collective team on 01392 248919 ext 290 or oilscheme@devonrcc.org.uk
