  DRAFT STRATEGIC BUSINESS PLAN2010-15

  CCD is developing a new five year Business Plan, and have now developed a draft.  This is being sent to a wide range of people and organisations who have an interest in CCD’s work – especially users and beneficiaries, partner organisations, funding bodies, trustees and members, staff and volunteers.

  We would be very pleased to receive your thoughts and comments on the new draft plan by February 12th 2010.

  Please feel free to inform colleagues or other organisations you think might wish to respond, or to ask us to send hard copies.

  Our PLANNING PROCESS

  Our work on a new Plan began with an analysis of the environment in which CCD works, including the views and priorities of those who have a stake in our work.  From this we have been able to identify and re-assess the need that exists for our services.  The political and financial climate does create great uncertainty, but also the necessity for CCD to think very clearly about its role.  We are very grateful to all those who gave time and detailed attention to this initial process.

  This plan is described as a strategic Business Plan.  As a charitable company, CCD has to identify resource for its work on a continuous basis, and detailed business planning is undertaken on an annual basis and monitored quarterly by the Board.  The final Business Plan will be submitted to our Board meeting in March.  It will then be posted on our website, and a short summary will be produced and distributed widely.
