The Rural Coalition includes the following organisations:

• Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE)
• Campaign to Protect Rural England
• Country Land and Business Association
• Local Government Association Group
• Royal Town Planning Institute
• Town and Country Planning Association

At this time of change and great uncertainty the need for a strong, confident and sustainable countryside is greater than ever. But national policy has undervalued the countryside over decades. This coming together of key bodies concerned with rural communities, economy and environment is very timely.

ACRE is the national body of Rural Community Councils (RCCs) like CCD. ACRE with the RCCs are developing a series of 10 position papers on the following themes.

Climate Change
