The Devon Playing Fields Association (DPFA) is an independent charitable body, set up in 1961.
Our Vision
Healthy active communities having access to quality outdoor spaces for recreation, sport and play.
Our Mission
DPFA works with and on behalf of Devon’s communities to protect, promote and improve outdoor sport and play facilities.
What we do
In collaboration with the Community Council of Devon we work with Devon communities to protect and improve outdoor recreation and play facilities.
DPFA provides a range of services for it members
• A local and national voice to lobby on the importance of play and sport opportunities, particularly in rural areas.
• Free technical guidance advice sheets on a range of topics.
• Individual information and advice through a dedicated sport and play enterprise advisor.
• A subsidised training programme ( including Playground Inspection )
• A reduced rate public liability insurance scheme for playing fields and playgrounds
•• Quarterly copies of The Playing Field
Who is this service for?
Anyone in Devon seeking to make better use of an outdoor sport, play or recreational area for the benefit of their community.
You need to be a member of DPFA to access these services.
